ALL assured Gorbachev that NATO would NOT EXPAND 1 INCH EASTWARDS into former Soviet Sphere Territory, i.e. the Warsaw Pact Nations!
This was in exchange for Gorbachev allowing the REUNIFICATION of GERMANY and remain in NATO after the fall of the Wall!

Today the entire East European, former Soviet Nations are members of NATO, bar the Ukraine!

Ukraine was granted Independence, but has no internationally recognized defined borders!

This is why we can assume that Russia does not commit violations of rights over Ukraine."

Over the course of 2022 to 2024 Francoise Hollande, Angela Merkel, Ukrainian politicians et al,
ALL admitted that, EVEN as SIGNATORIES and GUARANTORS to the Minsk Agreements, they NEVER INTENDED to implement ANY of these Agreements, and it was just a RUSE to RE-ARM the Ukraine to keep fighting against Russia and the Russian speaking people inside Ukraine!
► 2014 - 2024:
The Ukrainian Army is constantly shelling CIVILIAN Areas in Donetsk City and other cities across the Donbass!
All the while the OSCE, charged with the INDEPENDENT, UNBIASED MONITORING of the CEASEFIRE, is constantly IGNORING these CRIMES against HUMANITY by the Ukrainian shelling civilian areas for no other reason than vent their apoplectic hatred towards Russian speaking Ukrainian citizens and to inflict civilian casualties!
🔻 Russian sources state that over 30,000 people have been killed by 2021, a large majority of them civilians;
women, children, elderly and non-combatant men, in what clearly is, and President Putin called a GENOCIDE.

🔺 The Ukrainian Government has implemented numerous laws restricting Russian speaking Citizens’ rights and freedoms:
1. 1989 Language Law (Still in Effect Post-Independence)
• Law of the Ukrainian SSR "On Languages in the Ukrainian SSR" (October 28, 1989)
Established Ukrainian as the sole state language, reducing the official status of Russian.
Required the use of Ukrainian in government, education, and media, though Russian remained widely used in practice.
2. 1996 Constitution of Ukraine
• Article 10
Confirmed Ukrainian as the only state language.
3. 2012 Language Policy Law (Repealed in 2018)
• Law "On the Principles of the State Language Policy" (July 3, 2012, under President Yanukovych)
Allowed regions with over 10% minority populations to grant official status to their languages (benefiting Russian in eastern and southern regions).
Repealed by the Constitutional Court in 2018 (after being deemed unconstitutional).
4. 2017 Education Law (Restricting Minority Languages in Schools)
• Law "On Education" (September 5, 2017)
Mandated that education from 5th grade onward must be primarily in Ukrainian.
Reduced instruction in minority languages, including Russian, sparking criticism from Russia and some European bodies.
5. 2019 Language Law (Strengthening Ukrainian in Public Life)
• Law "On Ensuring the Functioning of Ukrainian as the State Language" (April 25, 2019, signed by President Zelensky)
Required Ukrainian in government, media, education, commerce, and services.
Imposed fines for violations in official settings.
Restricted Russian-language media and required Ukrainian dubbing/subtitles for foreign films.
6. 2022 Ban on Russian Cultural Content (After Full-Scale Invasion)
• Decree and Laws Restricting Russian Media, Books, and Music
Banned Russian books, music, and films in many public spaces.
Blocked Russian news outlets and social media platforms (e.g., VKontakte, Yandex).
7. 2023 Further Restrictions on Russian in Media and Education
